Project Background

ChromaWay, a blockchain pioneer since 2014, developed the RBN Ecosystem to drive EU and government blockchain initiatives. The project emerged from the "European Blockchain Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP)" initiative, spanning from 2020 to its final Phase 2B in 2024. With over 300+ technical reports, the RBN Ecosystem expanded its infrastructure and launched two flagship dApps. I joined ChromaWay during the pivotal Phase 2B, tasked with evolving the RBN brand to position it as a trusted EU blockchain solution.

Process

My objective was to create a brand identity and platform that communicates RBN's vision to stakeholders, with a focus on potential acquisition by the EU. The branding also needed to support a go-to-market strategy targeting enterprise adoption, while aligning RBN with ChromaWay's portfolio, particularly its core platform, Chromia.

Role

As a Motion & Brand Designer and Communications Consultant, I led the creation of all visual assets, formulated internal and external brand guidelines, and delivered key project materials such as presentations, sales decks, documentation, marketing & strategy assets, and the final promotional package.

What does a brand…

That enables a vibrant, interoperable ecosystem of blockchain-based services developed by EU companies for the benefit of EU citizens.

The Conceptual idea

Position RBN as a cutting-edge blockchain provider that is approachable, transparent and confident in their ability to provide next-gen dapps that connect to the European blockchain landscape. Enabling an equitable future for all.

The concept translates into positioning RBN as an approachable blockchain provider that provides better cross-border services in the EU. Connecting businesses to governmental bodies and regulations while serving EU citizens.

And when a dapp goes trough its own branding process and activating their respective GTM-strategies they would then have their own branding.

I created a Motion template and script in “After Effects” as part of the general brand asset kit. The script provides the animation an offset on each line, making the animation not as rigid as rotating all the lines simultaneously.

Part of the marketing strategy was to redesign the website and update the copy, communicating the brand, defining how to talk about the tech, and starting to sett up lead generation funnels, start measuring KPIS and activate a creative approach to content creation and the marketing.
